Can you imagine cooking marshmallows by the fire as you listen to the rythmic sound of waves lapping at the beach? I think most of us can put ourselves in that spot. However, I’m willing to bet none of you visualized it happening on the shoreline of the Arctic Circle! Well, if a new study by NOAA oceanographers is correct, you can make your plans for such an experience in about 30 years as evidence continues to mount that there will be no summer sea ice in the Arctic by 2040. Believe it or not, here is the latest on this unprecedented forecast.

There you have it, an Arctic summer without ice. It may sound good, but in reality it will cause far more problems than benefits. Personally, I would just as soon see the ice stick around, I can roast marshmallows on the beach in plenty of other places.
Ride the wind!
